The Fargues–Fontaine curve is a geometric object that unifies several central theories in modern p-adic arithmetic and geometry, most notably p-adic Hodge theory and the geometrization of local class field theory and the local Langlands correspondence for non-archimedean local fields of characteristic 0. In my talk, I will define this geometric object in various aspects, talk about the structures on it and how it connects to local class field theory.
